Durham School Admission Process
The admissions process is designed to be thorough and supportive, ensuring suitability for each student’s educational journey.
It begins with an enquiry, where interested parents or guardians email using the form on the school’s website, Durham International School Admissions.
Following this, the school responds to arrange a visit and complete a registration form. Prospective students then sit an age-appropriate assessment after incurring a non-refundable fee of 6500 Kenya Shillings, except for current students who are automatically entered into the next Year Group.
Upon successful assessment, an official offer letter is issued, detailing the start date, Year Group, and joining instructions. To accept the offer, parents must complete the Acceptance of a Place form and pay an Acceptance Fee of Ksh45,325, along with a refundable Security Deposit equivalent to one term’s fees.
This deposit is refunded upon leaving, provided a full term’s notice is given for withdrawal or cancellation of an accepted place.
Durham International School Fee Structure
For 2025/26, fees are slightly higher, starting at 271,950 Kenyan Shillings for Little Durham and reaching 641,025 Kenyan Shillings for Year 5, reflecting inflation and facility upgrades.
Fees are inclusive of tuition, snacks, lunch, co-curricular activities, most excursions, and ambulance service, payable in termly instalments due by the first day of each term.
Financial incentives include a 5% reduction for the first sibling and 7.5% for the second and subsequent siblings, applicable to lower classes on a full-time basis.
