It caters to the youngest students, from Playgroup (ages 2.5–3 years) to early primary years, typically up to Year 2 or 3 (ages 6–8), before transitioning to the Preparatory School.
The Junior School follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 of the British National Curriculum, tailored to young learners. It emphasises foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social development, fostering a love for learning.
The teaching approach is child-centred, with a focus on play-based and structured learning to develop cognitive, social, and emotional skills.
The Junior School offers mainstream education with support for students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring inclusivity.
The Junior School shares the Nyali campus with the Preparatory and Secondary Schools, benefiting from shared facilities like playgrounds, libraries, and sports areas designed for young children.
Age-appropriate extracurriculars, such as arts and crafts, music, sports, and group games, to encourage creativity and physical development, are also offered.
Parents must contact the school for an application form and prospectus, which includes a “Current Information” sheet with fee details. A non-refundable registration fee is required.
Preparatory School
The Preparatory School follows the Edexcel International Primary Curriculum, with students in Class 6 sitting for external exams in English, Mathematics, and Science.
The school places a strong emphasis on nurturing the whole child, not just academically but also socially, emotionally, and morally.
Students are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and a sense of responsibility.
Weekly assemblies focus on a “Theme of the Week”, such as kindness, honesty, or perseverance.
The “Pupil of the Week” award celebrates students who meet or exceed personal and academic goals.
