United States (U.S) President Donald Trump has explained his reasons for supporting Israel in the ongoing conflict with Iran.
In a statement on June 16, Trump issued a warning to Iran and demanded that citizens leave the capital, Tehran.
Trump said Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian should have signed a deal that he had asked him to sign.
He stated that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon and directed Iranians to leave Tehran.
Trump termed the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran a tragic and senseless loss of life.
“Iran should have signed the deal I told them to sign. What a shame, and a waste of human life. Simply stated, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!” Trump said.
Speaking to CNN on Friday, June 13, Trump said the U.S, of course, supports Israel.
Trump warned Iran to make a nuclear deal, stating that Israel’s overnight strikes on Iran were successful.
“We, of course, support Israel, obviously, and supported it like nobody has ever supported it,” he added.
He went on to explain that he had given Iran 60 days to sign the deal, but the deadline has now passed.
Trump Warning to Iran
Trump urged Iran to make the deal before it is too late, adding that the “people he was dealing with are dead.”
“Iran should have listened to me when I said, you know, I gave them, I don’t know if you know, but I gave them a 60-day warning, and today is day 61,” he said.
“They should now come to the table to make a deal before it’s too late. It will be too late for them. You know, the people I was dealing with are dead, the hardliners.”

Trump said Iran has failed to ensure peace and diplomacy prevail by signing the deal.
He stated that the war has caused many deaths, but there is still time to stop it.
Trump warned that things would get worse if Iran fails to sign the nuclear deal.
“There has already been great death and destruction, but there is still time to make this slaughter, with the next already planned attacks being even more brutal, come to an end. Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left,” Trump added.
