United States President Donald Trump has called for the unconditional surrender of Iran to stop the ongoing conflict with Israel, which entered its sixth day on Wednesday, June 18.
According to ABC News, U.S. officials signalled that the next 24 to 48 hours would be critical in determining whether a diplomatic solution with Iran is possible or if Trump might resort to military action.
Some government officials have opined that Iran is now in such a weak position that it could be forced to come back to the negotiating table and ultimately accept a deal requiring it to abandon all further nuclear enrichment.
However, sources close to President Trump say he has grown increasingly frustrated with Iran’s inability to provide the administration with immediate answers.
At the same time, he is strongly opposed to allowing a situation where it appears that Tehran has successfully called his bluff on launching military action against Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Location of Iran’s Supreme Leader
On Tuesday, June 17, Trump warned that U.S. patience was wearing thin.
Trump revealed that the U.S knows where Iran’s Supreme Leader is hiding, but there is no intention to kill him for now.
He said the U.S does not intend to kill civilians and its soldiers in missile attacks.
“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader” is hiding. He is an easy target but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump wrote on social media.

Additionally, Trump said the U.S. has complete control of the Asian country’s airspace and possesses more sophisticated weapons than the Middle Eastern nation.
“We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American-made, conceived, and manufactured “stuff.” Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA,” he added.
Trump Orders Iranians to Leave Tehran
On June 16, Trump told Iranian citizens to leave the capital, Tehran, stating that the Supreme Leader should have signed the nuclear deal that he had asked them to sign.
He maintained that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon and called the ongoing conflict with Israel a “tragic and senseless” loss of life
“Iran should have signed the deal I told them to sign. What a shame, and a waste of human life. Simply stated, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!” he said.

Israel and Iran launched new missile attacks against each other on June 18.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned of more military strikes by Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Reuters reported that two barrages of Iranian missiles were launched toward Israel in the first two hours of the morning.
Israel plans to attack Iranian military installations southwest of Tehran and has issued an evacuation warning to Iranian citizens living in the region.
Khamenei has also stated that a strong response will be given to the attacks.
“We must give a strong response to the terrorist Zionist regime. We will show the Zionists no mercy,” Khamenei said in a statement on X on June 18.
