The 18-year-old midfielder first made headlines during the 2023 Kenya Secondary School Sports Association (KSSSA) Games in Kakamega while playing for St. Anthony’s Boys Kitale.
Kibet won the tournament’s Most Valuable Player award after scoring 25 goals and providing 27 assists, and St Anthony’s Boys Kitale won the national title.
He went on to win the LG/SJAK Sports Personality of the Month in September 2023 before joining Nàstic Sports Academy in Tarragona, Spain, on a scholarship.
Kibet was on the spot again during the CECAFA U20 Championship in October 2024.
He scored 4 goals in 5 matches, helping Kenya reach the semifinals.

Known as Solidarity Boys, St Anthony’s Boys’ High is a powerhouse in secondary school sporting activities.
St Anthony’s were 2018 East Africa secondary school football champions.
Also, St Anthony Kitale have won six KSSSA including 2019 when they knocked out Dagoretti High School.

St Anthony Players to Join Barcelona
This year,2023, St Anthony has also secured huge deals for three of their players.
They include their captain Amos Wanjala, star midfielder Aldrine Kibet and Alvin Kasavuli.
The three will be joining Barcelona FC academy called Nastic Sports academy after finishing their national examinations.

Academic Performance
The school recorded a mean score of 10.33 B+ in the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
This was a marked improvement from 8.45 B- Minus in KCSE 2021 but a drop which from the 2020 mean grade of 8.6992.
St Anthony was ranked position 11th in KCSE 2022 and position 60 in KCSE 2021.
All the 437 candidates who sat for KCSE in 2022 scored grade B-(minus) and above.
For instance, the school had 41 A(plain), 148 A-(minus), 170 B+(plus), 69 B(plain) and 9 B-(minus).

Location & History
St. Anthony’s Boys’ High School, Kitale is a Boys Boarding school, located in Trans Nzoia County and is well known for its dominance in both academics and school games, especially soccer and hockey.
The school was established in 1969 as a day school and was by then known as Kitale Day Secondary school.
Later when the school was burnt down form 3 and 4 students moved to St. Joseph Teachers Training College resulting in the birth of the current St. Joseph High School-Kitale and transfer of the college to Mosoriot.
The school grew to become a three-stream institution under the Catholic Diocese of Kitale in 2000 and changed its name to St. Anthony’s High School Kitale.
In addition, the school expanded to a four-stream with a teaching staff of 60 and a student population of 1170.
