Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, declared that the nation would never surrender to the demands of President Donald Trump.
While addressing the Iranian nation, he said that war would be met with war, bombing with bombing, and a strike with a strike.
“We warn America of the consequences of engaging in war, because it will suffer severe damage if it decides to do so,” Khamenei said.
In his address, he also warned that the United States would face “irreparable damage” if it continued on its current path.
Trump has been calling for Iran’s complete, unconditional surrender, not a ceasefire.

Additionally, he said that America must know that their people will not surrender, and any military intervention on their part will lead to irreversible consequences.
“The Iranian people stand steadfast in the face of the war imposed on them. Our people will not submit to an imposed war, nor will they submit to an imposed peace,” he added.
Further stating that intelligent people who know Iran, the Iranian nation and its history will never speak to this nation with the language of threats, because the Iranian nation cannot surrender, and the Americans should know that any US military intervention will undoubtedly be accompanied by irreparable damage.

Trump Calls for Iran’s Complete Surrender
Trump abruptly left the G7 summit on Monday and told reporters that Iran should have signed the deal, referencing Iran’s Nuclear program.
“Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign. What a shame, and a waste of human life. Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!” Trump posted on his social.
He has called for diplomatic negotiations between Iran and Israel as the war escalates.

About Ali Khamenei
As the country’s highest authority, he holds ultimate control over the armed forces, possesses the authority to declare war, and has the power to appoint or remove top officials, including judges and military leaders.
Khamenei was imprisoned prior to the 1979 revolution and seriously injured in a bomb attack before assuming leadership in 1989.
He remains a staunch defender of Iran’s Islamic governance and harbours a deep mistrust of Western powers.
Since Friday, several senior military commanders have been killed, including key advisers to Khamenei from the Revolutionary Guards.
